Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Scott Eastwood, The Fate of the Furious

Like many moviegoers, we’re counting down to Friday’s release of The Fate of the Furious, even though we’ve already seen–and loved–the latest in The Fast and the Furious franchise. But if you can’t wait until Friday (or Thursday night, for the truly hardcore fans), we have plenty of films featuring the stars of The Fate of the Furious. While we don’t have everyone covered–yet–plenty of familiar faces show up in the free films on Tubi TV, including Dwayne Johnson and Charlize Theron.

Are you a newbie to the world? We love Vox’s explainer that walks through the whole series and its surprisingly complex chronology.

If you’re looking for car chases and explosions to tide you over, we have plenty of free action movies that will sate that craving.

Free Movies Starring The Fate of the Furious Stars

Dwayne Johnson, Be Cool and The Fate of the Furious

Dwayne Johnson – Be Cool (2005)

Before playing Agent Luke Hobbs starting in Fast Five, Johnson played a supporting role in The Fate of the Furious director F. Gary Gray’s Be Cool.

Charlize Theron, Aeon Flux and The Fate of the Furious

Charlize Theron – Æon Flux (2005)

Shortly after winning her Oscar for Monster, Theron starred in the futuristic adaptation of the MTV animated series. Fans of the actress can also watch her in Jason Reitman’s darkly comic Young Adult (2011).

Jason Statham, Chaos and The Fate of the Furious

Jason Statham – Chaos (2005)

Joining the series’ for Furious 7 as Deckard Shaw, Statham is one of the franchise’s latest additions. Also starring Wesley Snipes and Ryan Phillippe, this thriller features the actor as a Seattle detective, but don’t worry: he still has his great British accent.

Michelle Rodriguez, BloodRayne and The Fate of the Furious

Michelle Rodriguez – BloodRayne (2007)

Before starring as Letty, Rodriguez kicked butt in a number of action-driven roles, including this Uwe Boll video game adaptation.

Scott Eastwood – Texas Chainsaw 3D (2013)

Eastwood joins the franchise for the eighth movie in a supporting role that finds him in punchably smug mode, experiencing the wrath of Hobbs. We can’t promise he fares better in this horror movie that is the latest in that long-running series.

Kurt Russell, The Best of Times and The Fate of the Furious

Kurt Russell – The Best of Times (1986)

You’ve probably seen Mr. Nobody aka Russell as Snake Plissken or Colonel Jack O’Neil, but you might have missed this comedy-drama that paired him with the late, great Robin Williams.

Helen Mirren, The Madness of King George and The Fate of the Furious

Helen Mirren – The Madness of King George (1994)

Though the Dame is only in The Fate of the Furious for a few scenes, she’s one of its highlights. She earned one of her four Oscar nominations for her role in The Madness of King George.

Elsa Pataky – Beyond Re-Animator (2003)

We’re intentionally using an older image from the franchise to not give away her character’s plotline in The Fate of the Furious, but we had to use the image on the left from cult classic Beyond Re-Animator.

Paul Walker, Timeline and Furious 7

Paul Walker – Timeline (2003)

Though Furious 7 was the last film in the franchise to feature Walker, The Fate of the Furious pays homage to the dearly departed actor. For more of Walker in action, check out the sci-fi fun of Timeline.
