In the history of television, there haven’t been a whole lot of characters like ALF. Okay, there haven’t been any like ALF, other than the iconic alien life form himself. On Sunday night, actor Michu Meszaros, who wore a full-body suit to portray ALF, died after complications stemming from a stroke. He was 76 years old.
ALF aired from September 22, 1986 to March 24, 1990. While the obnoxious, lovable alien was sometimes portrayed by a puppet, Meszaros, who stood only 33 inches tall, played ALF when he was shown in his entirety.
