Break out those umbrellas and chainsaws — the fourth installment of the Sharknado saga, Sharknado: The 4th Awakens, premieres on the SyFy channel this summer. And because the campy disaster franchise is known as much for its celebrity cameos as its extremely plausible premise, the network has just revealed which stars will (likely) be gobbled up in the next man-eating shark storm.
This time around, Sharknado stalwarts Ian Ziering and Tara Reid will be joined by a crew that’s headlined by Gary Busey and Stacey Dash. Busey will be playing the scientist father of Reid’s character, April, while Dash will play the mayor of Chicago.
The rest of the cast is primarily made up of reality TV stars.
Cynthia Bailey (The Real Housewives of Atlanta), Robert Herjavec (Shark Tank), Kym Johnson (Dancing with the Stars), TV host Carrie Keagan, T’Keyah Crystal Keymah (In Living Color), and Baywatch stars Gena Lee Nolin and Alexandra Paul. Benjy Bronk (The Howard Stern Show) will appear as a morning show host, and Duane Chapman (better known as “Dog the Bounty Hunter”) will play a chainsaw dealer.
If that news wasn’t exciting enough, SyFy also unveiled the Star Wars: The Force Awakens inspired poster that goes along with its obvious Force Awakens inspired subtitle.
Sharknado: The 4th Awakens will premiere on the SyFy Channel on July 31.
