New Policy Ties In With Silicon Valley’s Generous Company Work Culture And Desire To Offer Employees the Latest and Best Perks

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, SEPTEMBER 15, 2015 – Tubi TV, a technology company that provides free streaming TV and movies to viewers, announced today a policy that allows new hires to never show for work. The move closely follows benefits from fellow Silicon Valley companies, including Netflix, Facebook, Google, and Weebly, offering free food, alcohol, massages, oil changes, dry cleaning, unlimited vacation, unlimited maternity/paternity leave, and even helicopter rides.

“Frankly, outside of giving people gold bars to eat, this was the only thing we could think of,” said Kevin Leu, Director of Marketing, Tubi TV. “The other companies may offer all that stuff — and we offer some of that stuff too — but we wanted to take this one step further and let our future employees know that they never even have to show up on their first day of work. Or ever. Wait. Is this going to be quoted? If so, I think I overused the word ‘stuff’. Does it make me sound uneducated?”

The new leave policy allows women and men to avoid having to report time off, as the employees will already not be in the office. Tubi TV’s “never show for work” policy is believed to be the first of its kind in the world. Employees can still take advantage of free food by coming into the office, but are welcome to leave immediately afterwards.

“We want our employees to know that there’s much more to life than work and being around coworkers — most of whom we strongly dislike in the first place,” said Leu. “We challenge other tech companies to follow our lead or attempt to top this perk. To which we would reply, ‘are you hiring?’”

The company has released a short 1:30 second video featuring their employees to promote the new work policy (found above) or at:
